The English Roses is one of my favorite children’s books.
I love writing. The more I blog and write the more I feel like my dreams came true.
Thank you to all of the blogs following my blog. Without you guys I would not be able to feel confident about my blog. It’s just another Manic Monday.
I feel tremendous gratitude toward my supporters and connections.
I am living my dream. I love what I’m doing and I’m at a good place in my life. All of the people who like me and support me as well as all of the people I’m connected to and network with are a part of my “family”.
1st CHAPTER and FULL NOVEL FESTIVAL. Deadline April 30th
I look great for 37.
I think I need to take better care of my skin. I look at model Cindy Crawford’s Meaningful Beauty commercials. I want to stay youthful. My mom and I look like we can be sisters. I love looking younger. One of my Mentees said “Ayesha you’re how old what?” I loved that he said that and he’s in his 20s.
I feel a sense of gratitude towards my memoir professor, Edi Giunta.
She said I could be a part of the NJCU Writers Worksop in January 2016. She said Ayesha you’re a writer! She gave me an A in Advanced Memoir in May 2015 (the Spring 2015 semester)! I am one of Edi’s former students. Edi invites me to events she puts on at NJCU that have to do with Memoir Writing!
Positive thoughts make for a good day.
Negative energy pulls my mood down. I need to be around other calm, nice, positive people!
My mood is a 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.
I feel pretty good today. I am going to an event at NJCU at 6pm called the Margaux Fragoso Literary Award Ceremony. The event is supposed to end at 8pm.
I see the future.
I see my memoir Ayesha’s Story the schizophrenia memoir selling over 1,000,000 copies in print and doing well in bookstores and on amazon.com! I want to have a successful memoir in the 2020’s and beyond.
African American authors including myself have our literary giants to thank! We need to remember that we have African American Literature,Caribbean Literature and African American Woman Writers.
Other ethnic groups have not come as far we, African Americans, have in terms of publishing books in poetry, memoir and fiction. Asians have not come as far as us and Hispanics haven’t either. Indians are starting to create a small presence in book publishing. Books written by multiracial authors that may not define as one race or another are doing well too. I think that’s cool too.
