I enjoy bowling one or two games with friends.

There were so many new artists that won Grammys. Alessia Cara won a Grammy for best new artist. I don’t listen to her music but I think the controversy about her Grammy she won is unfair.

Black skin is beautiful. I’m a Black Beauty. I remind myself every time I forget.

My hometown is Ewing, NJ. I live in Mercer County. I want to work for the Board of Ed at some point in Trenton, NJ.

I need to take one class at a time to be successful in college. I know that.

There’s something I hold on to being called black girl or black woman. I like it!

Going to the Cave Canem workshop and getting in twice with always be one of my proudest accomplishments. I love NYC!

I don’t believe in karma or reincarnation but I know there are secrets to the universe. The sun, the moon, and the planets are there in the solar system. There is something to karma but I just think it means that what goes around comes around. The golden rule is not applicable because people don’t follow rules. Every dog has its day. Things happen the way they do for a reason. I remember rapper Guru and I know that if I am where I am today it is not by accident. I believe everything that happens does so for a reason. I accept that.

Being too serious has its drawbacks. You need to be able to enjoy your life too. I like playing games on my phone, going bowling or going out to eat with friends and family.

I write in four genres poetry, memoir, blogging of course and I write for children and teenagers.
