I go to Nicotine Anonymous once a month.
Rest in peace Prince.
Prince died at 57. Michael Jackson died at 50. I wonder what happens to our musicians.
I’d never change myself.
I may change my look with hair extensions, braids or wigs but I’d never change myself to be more acceptable to others. I love being me.
Sleep hygiene in New Jersey.
I sleep really well in my 30s. I was sleep deprived in my 20s. I think I was sleep deprived in my teens too but I slept. I remember missing days and being late in high school. I know just sleeping at night and having snow days in winter always bring memories of snow and winters that are bitter cold. I’m going to be celebrating my 37th birthday on Sunday.
I want to stay pretty and youthful.
I use Neutrogena skin care products and I find they work well for me. I never liked hearing that blacks use skin bleaching cream to look lighter.
I love working. I like being busy.
I like working on writing projects and working at my Mentor job at Mercer. I want to become a teacher. I love the 7 am to 3 pm schedule. I have fears at night but I prefer evening classes.
I love TLC they’re the best girl group of all time.
I love the new song Haters. I really relate to the message in the song.
I remember the cover design on the original The Color Purple book.
My mom reading was the image that thought evoked. I love books.
I believe that things happen the way they happen for a reason.
This is the way I want my life to be. I believe every success and every failure was a set up to get me to where I am today. I didn’t know how ordered my steps were until I heard my name and I said “Ayesha Karim”, my time has come. All this good luck and infamy is for me.
I am against bleaching cream in the black community but…
I’m for skin care and anti-aging. I love Neutrogena’s products and also Carol’s Daughter.
