I don’t like how people say if you’re smart you’re corny.
I had a good childhood.
I see my life as my own and as the life I was fortunate to have. I don’t want anyone else’s life.
Leopards cannot change their spots.
Race is something you can either learn to accept and embrace or question why it matters.
Cooperation is what we need in our organizations.
When people work together in a spirit of cooperation and friendship there is no goal we can’t accomplish here in America or abroad. I always wanted to be in the military and I dated a guy that graduated from The Citadel military school in South Carolina.
The way we African Americans do things in our social circles is the way we have always done them.
Things in Black organizations I think are bad is when members have anger or resentment to members who get opportunities that others don’t get. Since I made it to mainstream all I think about is myself, the way I do what I do and the people who like my blog, like my posts or follow my blog on http://www.wordpress.com or the people that follow me on Twitter or other social media. I feel so happy about it that this year I wish all of my followers on here and on social media a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays!
Happy Holidays to all of my blogger friends.
This Christmas is happy with me being an anthologized poet and having my blog nominated for an award. I wrote a memoir too. I’m half way through my children’s literature course with The Institute of Children’s Literature. I’m happy. I’m smiling through my tears.
I would love to create a line of products for hair care and skin care.
I love jewelry. I would love to have my own costume jewelry line too!
I had a good childhood. As a child I started writing poetry in the fifth grade as a form of escapism.
You can either look at the glass as half empty or half full. You have to believe that you’re good enough. You can choose to want what you have.
I never thought I’d see a day I could be this happy!
Successes I’ve had with things I do well like writing poetry, blogging and memoir writing have been crucial to changing the way I feel about myself and my life.
I set myself a bedtime of midnight.
Waking up at the same time every morning and going to bed at the same time every night is the way to get yourself on a good rhythm where you are productive during the day and ensuring that you can sleep at night!
