I am a Black Guyanese woman. I'm thirty nine years old. I went back to college to take Early Childhood Education classes. I want to get a second 48-credit BA degree in Early Childhood Education by 2021. I go to NJCU. I have a BA in Creative Writing from NJCU. I graduated from NJCU in August 2015. I transferred to NJCU from Mercer. I have my AA degree from Mercer in Humanities and Social Science since May 2007. I write poems, I write memoirs, I'm a blogger and I am taking a children's lit course. I love reading memoirs. I also do book reviews from time to time. My favorite poet is Emily Dickinson. I grew up in Ewing, New Jersey. I live in Princeton Junction with my parents!

I love seeing tall beautiful women who wear high heeled shoes.
I had a less than ideal childhood.
It was mine though. It led to a lot of successes in my adulthood and positive thoughts that would replace a lot of negative ones.
I sold half of the copies of my poetry chapbook Through Ayesha’s Eyes.
I almost sold sixty copies of my chapbook, forty to go.
Sometimes all you have to do is wait and you’ll be in for a beautiful surprise.
As a little girl I was eager to grow up. I’m 37 and I feel good about my life the way it is now.

I have come a long way. That’s true.
I remember times it was harder to smile or feel happy. Some days I feel like putting my dancing shoes on and think of wanting to dance at a party or when I’m out with my friends. I want to celebrate and enjoy my life more.
I feel so good about my book project.
I wrote a memoir and soon I’ll have a book. 10,000 more words and I’ll have a book!
I didn’t realize it until now that being remembered or recognized for you is better!
