NJCU Alumni Day: Hello Edi!

On Saturday September 24, 2016 it was NJCU Alumni Day. I graduated with my degree in English with a concentration in Creative Writing in August 2015. I attended two Memoir Workshops that day taught by Edi Giunta! I generated some new writing. I am writing a book length memoir or working on a book/memoir project. I already have 50 pages including the memoir A Tale of Three Half Sisters the 4,000 word memoir I wrote in Edi’s Advanced Memoir class back in the Spring of 2015. I generated a new piece called Mabel about my great-grandmother that is going to be a 10-15 page contained piece that I will be working on with my book project: Ayesha’s story [The Schizophrenia Memoirs]! Oh and a young Caucasian woman who said she remembered me was at NJCU Alumni Day and at the workshop too. She said she remembered me though I wasn’t quite sure if I remembered her. She teaches 7th and 8th grade English too! I thought oh what a nice job!
